I am a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Social Sciences at University Carlos III of Madrid. My research bridges historical political economy and the study of collective action, with a focus on the historical determinants of sociopolitical mobilization and civil society. My dissertation examines the causes and (long-term) consequences of labor mobilization in Spain before the Second Republic (1931–1936). I also study how long-run demographic and socioeconomic dynamics shape or constrain historical persistence.
